I live in a village a few miles from Liverpool and we suffer from gangs of feral youths on illegal scramblers bombing around the place. Merseyside police need to crack down on anti-social behaviour and sharpish. I have mates in Liverpool who say there are main roads bus drivers don't like driving down because gangs of kids attack them with half bricks!
Problem is we dont have many local police. Close pass initiative forget it . Too many crack heads on motocross bikes to worry about first . Plus its a popular place to deal or get chucked in the river if you dont pay up . This is a mile from where the skum that ran over the police officer went into hiding.
If the wire were at neck height the police should be looking to investigate a case of attempted murder.
I live up here and this is part of my daily commute. Sadly, I'm not surprised, I've had rocks thrown at me in the same spot. There's a small park which overlooks the prom at one point, so the local scumbags / feral youths / misunderstood teenagers can get a good vantage point to have a larf.
Glad this didn't cause more injuries than it did. Wish this type of attack would be taken more seriously though.
