Video: Student in elephant costume vs Rollapaluza

Take a look at how charity mascot Ernie Elephant did on the rollers at University of Essex freshers' fair...

If you've ever had a race on the Rollapaluza rollers, you'll know that it's a pretty intense experience at the best of times - so chapeau to the rider at the University of Essex today who smashed it while wearing an elephant costume.

The cycling events company took its rigs along to  the university's  fresher's week in Chelmsford and posted video to Twitter of a race between, on the blue bike, n Adrian from Essex Sport and, on the red one, Ernie Elephant, the mascot of the Essex branch of the international charity, Enactus. Watch how they got on below.

With hundreds of partner universities in more than 30 countries around the world, Enactus brings together students, academics and business leaders who are, according to its website, “committed to using the power of entrepreneurial action to transform lives and shape a better more sustainable world.”

You can find out more about Enactus, which was founded in 1975, here.
