What a bizarre place we live in, where people feel they need to transport their bikes in/on a car before they can ride them!
What we really need is for our roads to be safe for us to ride on, especially our children. And I don't mean CTC's "hierarchy of provision". That is where we should be putting our energies.
Fair enough, but I'd rather ride through a forest than on any road, safe or not. Having to deal with polution and noise? Why?
If you add to this the Lambeth Thames riverside issue, plus Clapham Common speed limit, I'm starting to get really worried for the future of cycling - leisure cycling mainly - in this country. It's not looking good.
But maybe I'm just a pesismist....
'Ok, you can have access but it will be £25 car parking where ever you park'
