The Vermarc Tinto Donna Short Sleeve Jersey is definitely one for the summer. Layer it up correctly though and it will see you all year round.
Vermarc manage to combine Italian craftsmanship with good style and some bold colours. The Tinto Donna is made with 100% polyester S-Dry fabric. This material is suitable for summer riding because the structure of it allows air to circulate, allowing the rider to feel dryer and cooler overall.
It has been designed so it feels soft and light next to your skin and it really does. You aren't even quite aware you are wearing it. It isn't too tight either, which is put down to the internal structure. This is supposed to reduce the contract points between the jersey and you. It seems to stand up to this claim well.
The jersey has three rear pockets that are fairly standard. They are a decent size and there is plenty of room to take all your essentials with you. On the sides of the two outer pockets, there are small reflective strips which is a nice little touch.
The rear has a drop tail which you expect from a cycling jersey and the hem has a good silicone grip which holds the jersey in place.
In terms of durability, it's thin to the touch, yet incredibly strong. You can pull and stretch the jersey and it doesn't feel like it will come apart at all. I feel it would stand up to a fair few falls (if that happens) without too much damage. It also washes very well and has retained its colour.
The fit of the jersey is close enough to feel secure. If you worry about more than one extra layer, or want a looser fit it's probably worth sizing up. It's not the longest jersey either. I am quite short and felt the fit was fine, but anyone taller may have issues with the length, and I'm not sure if this can be sorted by sizing up.
All in all, Vermarc Tinto Donna is a lightweight jersey that will really keep you cool in the summer. It works well, folds away small and it's comfortable.
Verdict
Bright, bold jersey perfect for summer riding
