Wirral Way ride to Open Golf?

Any Wirral residents out there?

Planning to ride to Hoylake on Sunday to avoid traffic congestion and parking charges etc. A couple of questions-

Is the Wirral Way a decent route if I park at Heswall? - seems fairly direct (6 miles) or would you suggest parking further out? Happy with anything up to 10 miles.

I'm coming from the East (M56) and want to avoid going up the M53. Will be on an MB once I've found a decent place to park.

thanks 1

My mate lives on Riverbank Rd. in Lower Heswall. The road is a dead-end with a public car-park tucked at the bottom. Access to the Wirral-way is on the bend at the top of the road and you can legally park right next to it. I've walked the route a few times and from memory it should be easily navigable by MTB. Enjoy!
