Right now. Bright, sunny, you can see your end of year target tantalisingly close but still a lot of cycling to go.
Got to be a early spring day with a nip in the air, Mist on the fields and a beautiful sunrise
Autumn in the Highlands, definitely. The colours are brighter, the air is fresher, the stags are roaring, the geese gathering - and you have the road to yourself. Perfect
Winter - hailing from Scotland i love battling the elements.
Wow, so much love for the colder months here!
Summer all the way for me.
Early spring mornings do it for me. It's like Autumn but without the slippy wet leaves.
Autumn!
Snowy winter; that smug feeling when the whole country grinds to a halt and you're still managing with tyres only an inch thick
Er...
...Summer....
...in the Alps preferably!
Spring. Nice and cool so you don’t overheat and crisp mornings without the chill of winter.
Getting to see how your winter pain paid off vs your clubmates.
Autumn, ever hit a conker with 120psi in your tyres, makes you feel alive.
Spring.
Every morning gets a little brighter, making those morning rises for commuting a little earlier each day.
There is a slow transition from bib longs to bib shorts; winter jackets and fleece tops to short sleeve jerseys; overshoes to summer socks.
The legs get stronger and the rides get longer.
Winter tyres come off, new cables, cassettes and chains are fitted and the bike is ready to go fast.
Summer.
Cold, clear and dry. Get a bit wrapped up, but no need for waterproofs.
Spring. (The last weekend in March to be precise — British Summer Time begins).
Late spring when I have the most time to get out on the bike.
There are reasons to get out in every season but none so many as in Summer.
Autumn as you get to try out all the kit you'd forgotten you had during the summer.
Wintumn is my favourite and its always wintumn in Wales - there was a summer once, '76 I think. Its why sheep wear merino
Spring, cool mornings and lovely greens on the trees.
Winter, something therapeutic about putting on the thermals and being cosy in the saddle.
I like the winter I seem to have more time for cycling.
For a fairweather southern softy it's got to be spring!
Autumn - amazing colours, great natural light and even more excuse for a cake stop!
Always summer. The answer is always summer.
Summer. I love long days in the hills with good friends....
Spring! The promise of summer, and getting the best bike back on the road.
A nice winter's day in July in Ireland rules for the bike!
Spring, summer, autumn or winter... I'm easy!
Sunshine, salt stains on my shorts, air-temp (which is to say, warm) water at the bottom of the bottle, air conditioning at the bathroom stops, swimming in bib shorts, sweating in the tailwind, putting my bottle in my jersey pocket & a Slurpee in the bottle rest after stopping at 7-Eleven on the way home from my favorite training loop, rolling into the driveway just a few minutes after dark and dismounting, feeling for the first time how chilly the evening air actually is when I'm no longer pushing against a faux plait, taking my jersey & shorts & socks off and seeing sharpened tan lines, shaving in the shower without cursing the chill because there is no chill, making chocolate milk and a beastly sandwich in my parents' kitchen... Summertime riding.
