Car crashes into building - please post your Local news stories
Running this one up the flagpole to see who salutes...
I just don't remember this being a thing until recently, now it seems a daily occurrence.
Could it be that there are drivers not up to the job, too many cars; should houses be made to ride in single file, shops put on high viz, why are we putting newer buildings in danger like this, it's irresponsible.

'A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "Dorset Police was called at 12.48pm on Thursday, August 13, to a report of a collision involving a car and a wall outside Iceland on Poole Road in Bournemouth.
"It is reported that the vehicle was also in collision with a pedestrian, but they did not require medical treatment." '

But of course they will have had several hours to sober up/drink more or get some of the drugs out of their system.
Some of my favorite bits on "police Inteceptors" are when the wrong'un has crashed their car whilst drunk, but then reports the vehicle stolen in a drunken act of "genius", but when the police show up find that their shoes are covered in mud and they have their car keys, and the icing on the cake, they locked their car up before leaving it, something that a "car thief" is probably not really concerned about.
Why can't they stick to the car paths intstead of holding up the railway traffic? And it's all black, impossible for trains to see.

And - get this - it's tidal, it moves about - at 3 am at whatever m.p.h. Suffering from the ill effects of alcohol, what chance did she have?

The tinpot organisations that "run" the New Forest really do my head in some times. There's a lot of anti-cycling sentiment generally*, but the animals go on dying and yet you hear no anti-car sentiment. Don't blame the visitors either - this goes on all through the winter months as well. They could push for an an average speed zone on the B3078, but they don't.
I'd have thought it would be near impossible to disguise a car that had been involved in an animal collision, when you arrive home or when it comes to getting it repaired.

the article is mildly interesting - e-bikes tearing up the new forest and it mentions car parking too.
But it was kev's comment I wanted to highlight, dwelling as he presumably does, in a lake of cyclist urine...

Years ago I lived in the centre of Bristol. Over the weekends, we'd regularly find used condoms hanging from the trees at the end of the garden (which overhung our fence and onto the pavement).
I don't think they were from cyclists, though.

That bus stop should have been wearing hi-viz. It's no wonder that poor motorist was unable to avoid the bus stop colliding with them.

If he's getting that many close calls every day, then maybe the road is too dangerous for him to have his shop there. Honestly, why don't these people take responsibility for their own safety and move their building? It's all well and good saying that they have a right to have their shop there, but that's no good if you end up dead.
