Video: Boris vs NYC - Londoners tackle Mount Washington on a Citibike

Same trio who took on Mont Ventoux last year are back in Stateside hire bike adventure

Three cyclists from London who flew to New York City and took one of its hire bikes to New Hampshire to ride up Mount Washington, then retraced their steps to get back to the British capital inside 36 hours, have posted a film of their exploits to YouTube.

Under the name Boris vs NYC, the film, which had its premiere earlier this month at Sigma Sports in Hampton, South West London, follows Rob Holden as he tackles the ascent of the 6,288-foot peak. It's the highest mountain in the northeastern US, which has an average gradient of 12.5 per cent.

Last year, the same team took a Boris Bike from south east London and drove it to Mont Ventoux where Holden rode it up the mountain, the trio getting the bike back onto the docking station a shade under 24 hours after they picked it up.
