Agree with J90. This is sort of impressive in a boring way. Who really cares? Personally I'd be a lot more impressed if the record was set using loop rides or point and back rides. I could rack up a lot of miles if someone kept driving me to the top of a mountain for me to ride down.
IMHO Steve should have taken more time for rest & recharging after his ankle was fractured. Several months? Starting a year interval completely fresh and healed would be a big advantage.
Congrats on the HAM'R Kurt - incredible work over the year.
Nice one, great achievement.
Is he still using a recumbent?
Your implication being what?
It's an amazing achievement, but even more amazing was that the record was only beaten with 5 days to go. Looking forward to seeing what the other competitors can achieve.
Well done to Kurt, an amazing achievement!!!
Congratulations. As a cyclist from the Potteries it's a little sad to see Tommy's record beaten but that's what records are for I suppose. Chapeau.
