Genuine yellow jersey signed by Carlos Sastre in ebay charity auction

Few people ever get to wear a genuine Tour de France Yellow jersey, let alone own one, without first riding 3000Km around France. This April you'll get the chance to own a Tour winner's yellow jersey and you won't need to book the whole of July off as holiday and put a big ride in either because Carlos Sastre has already done the hard work for you.

Wiggle have got toether with Team Saxo Bank (CSC Saxo Bank as was) to auction a genuine yellow jersey signed by 2008 Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre with all proceeds going to the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS).

The jersey will be auctioned on ebay for 10 days starting on the 15th of April and according to Wiggle is already generating a great deal of international interest.

Wiggle’s Paul Bolwell said: “We’re very excited to have such a terrific piece of cycling history up for grabs. The yellow jersey is the ultimate icon of the cycling world so we really hope it raises a lot of money for an extremely worthwhile cause.” 
All funds raised will go towards a multi-sports day that NDCS will be running for deaf children and young people in Walsall, West Midlands, on October 10.

Sastre said: “I am very proud to help the National Deaf Children’s Society to raise awareness of the obstacles that deaf children face at school and in their every day life.

“Every deaf child has the right to be fully included and valued by society.”
Simon Kirby, of the NDCS, added: “We are pleased to have become a charity partner for the auction of Sastre’s yellow jersey and are grateful to Wiggle for supporting our sports day for deaf children and young people in Walsall.”
