Boardman expands clothing range with focus on affordability

Boardman has followed the launch of its two Performance and Elite clothing ranges last summer with an all-new spring and summer clothing collection, with a focus on affordability - the new bib shorts cost just £39.99 and there’s a £44.99 jacket.

The new clothing will be available exclusively at Halfords and includes road cycling, mountain bike and women’s specific clothing. Boardman says the clothing has been “developed with both the enthusiast and mainstream rider in mind with competitive pricing throughout the range.”

Let’s take a closer look. The highlight is probably the new Removable Sleeve Jacket (£44.99) which is available for men and women and features removable sleeves, making it a versatile choice for the changeable conditions of spring weather. It’s made from a breathable and windproof fabric with reflective stitching and there are three pockets. 

The Bib Shorts (£39.99) are designed for road cycling and have a multi-density padded insert and the shorts are constructed from a Qwick-Dri fabric with overlock stitching. Though designed for mountain biking, we reckon the Mtb Shorts (£39.99) would be ideal for commuting and leisure cycling. 

The company is also offering new women’s specific clothing. The Capri 3/4 length riding tights (£34.99) have a female-specific multi-density padded liner with the same Qwick-Dry fabric as used for the bib shorts. For added comfort there’s a deep elasticated waist band and mesh back lined hem. A few reflective details boost riding visibility. 

The range will also feature new socks, caps and mitts. All the new clothing will be available in your nearest Halfords store from 29th February, as well as online at www.halfords.com
