road.cc Live takes place this Sunday, 26 February 2017, and here are the Look bikes that you can ride if you come along.
You need to register by 6pm on Saturday (25 February 2017) if you join in the fun.
road.cc Live will be held at the Odd Down Cycle Circuit in Bath, and you’ll have the opportunity to test ride some of the latest bikes from the likes of Scott, Specialized, Canyon, Cube, Giant, Liv, Wilier, Rose and Whyte on a purpose built, closed road cycle track without the distraction of cars and buses. It’s the perfect way to check out a whole range of bikes, ride some of them and decide which is right for you and the riding you do.
French brand Look will be at road.cc Live with these bikes:
• 695 ZR Ultegra (in sizes M/L)
• 765 Ultegra (in sizes S/M/L)
• 765 HM Ui2 (in sizes S/M/L)
• 765 Disc Ultegra (in sizes S/M/L)
• 795 Light eTap (in sizes M/L)
The 695 ZR is a race bike made from high modulus carbon-fibre and it features Look’s E-Post seatpost with elastomers that are designed to soak up shocks and vibration.
Looks will also be bringing three versions of the 765, a bike that we reviewed on road.cc a while back and described as “an endurance bike with a performance edge, comfortable over long distances but with a quick turn of speed when it's time to turn up the power”.
You’ll be able to stay comfortable on this bike for a long time because it comes with a level of damping, and the longer you’re in the saddle the more you’ll appreciate that.
One of the models you’ll be able to ride is the 765 Disc. That’ll be especially interesting if you’ve not used disc brakes before.
The 795 Light eTap is an aero road bike. We reviewed the 795 Aerolight on road.cc last year, which is essentially the same bike but with the brakes located differently. We called it “an innovative aero road bike that delivers plenty of speed, but only for those with a large budget” – on the basis that it’s not cheap. You can give it a go and see if you think it’s worth saving for!
eTap, of course, refers to SRAM Red eTap, the groupset with wireless shifting (not shown in the pic above).
You can see the full list of bike brands and models that will be available to ride at road.cc Live here.
Tickets cost £30 and you can book them here – before 6pm on Saturday, don’t forget.
Everyone who attends road.cc LIVE will get a free goody bag with great gifts from road.cc, Weldtite and more.
There are e-bikes too. Our sister site ebiketips.co.uk will be on-site and demo electric city and mountain bikes will be available to ride.
Had a Kona Blast sometime around the turn of the century, that was a pretty decent mountain bike for not much money....
