12 miles each way 4 times a week; Wrexham to Hawarden; mostly quietish roads apart from last two miles near work. Came off on ice last winter so now "ice stops play" but otherwise in all weathers.
2.7 miles towing the kids trailer to the nursery, drop off the kids & trailer, then 2.7 miles back, literally past the house, & further 0.25 miles in the other direction to work.
Same in reverse at night, obviously. Otherwise I'd just get further from home every day.
Usually take December & Jan off as its a bit too cold for the kids.
Just under 30 miles each way for me. Do it anywhere between 0 and 4 times a week. Been pretty slack this summer but just getting back into it now. Need to keep the fridge pretty well stocked to cope
Well until things change around here, my commuting by bike is coming to an end.
Unless someone has a spare Xtracycle...
Currently travel 6 miles each way 3 to 4 times per week from Torquay to outskirts of Newton Abbot towards Shaldon. Mainly flat with big hills at each end, good for fitness though.
3 miles each way, mostly along the Iffley Road in Oxford. I go past the Roger Bannister commemoration sign and do about the same speed on average - 4 minute miles.
28 miles each way across the Peak Ditsrict - north to south . . at least 3 times a week.
.........howdy, folks.
I'm currently 5 miles each way - (slightly more if I use canal towpaths, slightly less if main roads).
Tow paths go past Olympic media centre and main stadium and is lovely in spring and summer.
4 days a week plus what ever I do when cycling between appointments at work (little as 2 miles extra to 20 on some days)
Might get to Hog Hill if my racer ever arrives..............
I'm about 10 miles each way from Leith to Ingliston, Edinburgh. Everyone looks at me like I've got two heads when I tell them that.
15 miles each day. One massive hill on the way to work certainly wakes me up at 7.15am!!
I try to ride where possible but it really is very dangerous in the dark if im honest!
Really cannot wait until it's light again in the morning and evenings....
4 miles each way, near by every day of the week and twice 10 extra miles each way to downtown.
I prefer country roads and path through parks and narrow roads, as there is less traffic and fewer traffic lights than on main roads
Isleworth to White City, 10 miles on the way in via Putney bridge and Hammersmith
As the crows flies on the way home 7 miles
Going to start cycling further on the way in as the weather improves, want to get up to about 15 miles... it is fun after all...
15km each way, from the centre of Milan (yes, Milan, Italy) to Trezzano sul Naviglio. Only 2 days a week at the moment (Tue and Thu), but hopefully will move up to 3 days a week soon.
As I sometime drive to London (from Manchester) I take the bike in the boot. However I park at the far end of the carpark and ride into the office via a 22 mile excursion.....
Is that in New Mexico?
why?
Six miles each way from Hazelbank to the centre of Belfast. Everyday. Unless I take in Cave Hill on the Mtbike. That is about thirteen miles. Good days on the KTM (or Marin Wolfridge) and bad days on the On-One Inbred SS.
I hate driving.
5 miles each way, e2 to n7, every day unless I run it instead. keep wishing I had further to ride every day, can never quite get up early enough to take the scenic route...
16 mile round trip; the best time of the day as well as being with my family.
About 10 miles each way 5 days a week (and on occasion 6 days) all year from Wolverhampton to Oldbury. Had to get rid of my car about two years ago as it failed its MOT and it was getting too expensive to run. Best thing i ever did. Hate riding with the wind against me though, but the fitness benefits are brilliant.
I commute by bike from Kilmarnock to Glasgow which is 20 miles each way. Normally do it 4 times a week as I usually work from home 1 day. Usually do it on my own but occasionally meet people in summer, never see anyone else in winter though.
I do the cycle route 66/69, if I am feeling lucky, on the way home, which is 13 miles, and do a train/bike journey to work which is uphill about 2.5 miles.
Once I am fit nuff, then its a 25 mile round trip along hilly huddersfield/dewsbury/ossett.
I do about 5 miles each way 3 times a week. Yesterday I took a 30 mile wrong turn on the way home!
I alternate between road bike and hard tail.
as soon as I can afford a folding bike Im going to be riding it 3 miles each way to temple meads station and then a return journey from wherever I need to go to my office and back (my work base changes daily)
I work at home so the commute is downstairs - time to get an office somewhere else!
15 Miles each way, 2-3 times per week, but only for another 6 weeks as I move to Canada.
All I know is that I got absolutely drenched yesterday, but it made me power up Kingston Hill for the whole way the first time ever.
Rain sucks.
2.5 miles each way on the shortest route. I am at university so i usually have to do it more than once each way so it ends up around 8 miles a day, which is nice, not when it's cold though! It's really hilly where i live too so the way there is great but the way back with the wind and the hills, ouch. I've come from cycling in a place where the gradient is so small it's negligible so it took a while to adjust. By the Fringe, i think it's great posties get to ride bikes, i've seen the police and ambulance service doing it in the inner city doing it too, i'd do that job just for the cycling
In the summer I ride all the way in 2 or 3 times a week, 18 miles there & 19 miles home to avoid going straight up the steep hill! About 15 miles is along the Bath-Bristol cycle track which is very pleasant and traffic free.
Other days its a 2.5 mile ride straight downhill to the train station and then another mile or so ride the other end so a total of about 7 miles. Got a knackered old bike locked up at Bristol Temple Meads for the little jaunt to the office.
I't about 10 miles there and 10 miles back. I do that 3 days a week, the other 2 I car share, my car rarely leaves its parking space nowadays!
